Complicated sphingolipid was created by dariush
Hello,

I am working on a yeast plasma membrane containing "M(IP)2C(t18:0/26:0(2OH))" or in short: M(IP)2C. A low-quality image of the structure was shown here:
pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/image/imgsrv.fc...eposited=t&version=5

Is there anyone used such structure? If not, which is highly probable, could you please help me to make it or alternatively add it to insane?

Thanks,
Dariush

Hello, hello,

Yes we do have those parameters (as well as IPC and MIPC) and have adapted insane for them but they are not published yet. I have been working on the yeast plasma membrane for quite some time now and the simulation part is done but we are waiting for the experimentalists.

e.g. see my last Biophysical society poster:
www.cgmartini.nl/~helgi/membrane-modelling-post-03-lowres.pdf

Maybe you should e-mail me and we can discuss? If we are not doing exactly the same things I would be happy to share the parameters.

Cheers,
- Helgi
